Can I purchase a subscription for someone else?

Yes!

You can definitely gift a subscription or plan to your friends, family, and loved ones. Gift subscriptions won't renew and will cancel automatically at the end of their term. 

Gift a subscription

You can gift a subscription through this link by following the steps below:
  1. Ensure that you have a Dataquest Account. You'll need to have one before gifting a subscription.
  2. Head to our gifting page here
  3. Enter the details of the Gift Recipient and an (optional) note
  4. Select the subscription plan
  5. Input your payment credentials
  6. Click Pay Now, and you've successfully gifted a plan!
Both you and the Gift Recipient will receive a message about the gift - the Gift Recipient will have 90 days to claim it. The subscription will automatically cancel if the gift isn't claimed within 90 days.

Please contact us here to request a refund if the gift is canceled.

Cancelling a Gift

If you've gifted a subscription, you can cancel the gift from your portal if it has been scheduled - otherwise, you'll need to reach out to us here. However, Gift Recipients can cancel the subscription at any time.

We consider refunds for gifts under a few circumstances:
  1. A full refund can be given if the gift is unclaimed.
  2. A full refund can be given if it's requested within 7 days of gift purchase and there is no account activity from the gift recipient during that period.
  3. A prorated refund can be given on annual gift plans if it's requested within 30 days of gift purchase — you'll pay the price of a regular monthly subscription, and we can refund the balance of the annual purchase.
