Educational institutions can use Dataquest training to supplement their courses with our Academic options. Educators have the option to select the following:

  1. Discounted institutional or classroom access
  2. Discounted individual student licenses

How does this work?

What type of access comes with the classroom plan?

Our academic discounts give educators and institutions unrestricted access to the entire Dataquest catalog.

This means that you and your students can take full advantage of our content offering throughout the year, including switching through courses and learning paths.

What are the requirements to apply for the Classroom Plan?

To be eligible for Dataquest's classroom plan, you must:

  1. Be an educator (e.g., professor, teacher, lecturer, teaching assistant) OR a member of an educational institution's faculty (department head, purchasing department, etc).
  2. Be able to verify your educator status with a personal faculty page OR provide a copy of your faculty ID.

Students aren't eligible to apply for academic discounts. If you're a student, please have your educator apply to the program.

When is the application deadline?

There is no deadline. You're welcome to apply to our classroom plan as long as it's available.

Whether your application is approved or rejected, you'll receive notice via e-mail. Please ensure to check your e-mail (including spam) for messages from teams@dataquest.io

Can I try Dataquest beforehand?

Yes! You can request a free faculty subscription here.

You'll need to provide proof that you are an educator at an accredited institution to qualify for a free account.

Will my students need any special hardware or software to access the courses?

No.

The Dataquest platform is cloud-based and can be accessed from any computer and web browser! 

That said, we have only two hard requirements to ensure a fantastic learning experience:
  1. Your students have a solid and stable internet connection, allowing our code runners and answer checking systems to function.
  2. That your students' web browsers are up-to-date (and not Internet Explorer 😳) so that the web app can be displayed properly.

Can we use Dataquest behind a firewall?

Yes! The Dataquest platform works behind most institutional firewalls.

Will my students receive proof of completion?

Yes! Your students will receive a certificate for every course and learning path they complete.

What if my students need help?

If your students need help understanding technical concepts, they can always collaborate with other learners in our active student Community or select the search bar to get help from Chandra, our AI assistant.
